Martyn Lewis's model for continuous learning,  This model looks at the environment, learner and the resources available and suggests a model of learning depending on whether learning can be exploratory or facilitated,  Lewis contends the model will provide guidance on the appropriate use of technology combined with coaching or mentoring.

Charles Jennings contends work place learning is moving from formal to informal learning.  He suggests the ratio is 70% informal experiential learning 20% social learning though other and 10%  learning through structured Programmes.  Jennings points out that the framework is not a recipe that should be followed precisely more a framework that provides guidelines as each work place context is different
